Heights survives late comeback by Champion

NEW BRAUNFELS — Boerne Champion scored a touchdown with 54 seconds to go to pull within a point of Alamo Heights on Friday.

The Chargers lined up for what would've been the tying extra point, but Heights' Skylar Nelson broke through a crease in the line and found a clear path to the ball. The senior blocked the PAT, and Alamo Heights clinched a 21-20 Class 4A Division II bidistrict win over the Chargers at Unicorn Stadium. (read more).
