Michael Simpson Chosen as City Manager
City Council, in a special meeting held this afternoon and evening, voted unanimously to offer the city manager position to Michael Simpson. In a phone conversation a short time ago, he accepted the offer. It will become official when an agreement is signed.
Michael retired from the army with the rank of Lt. Colonel, holds a law degree from St. Mary's School of Law, and has had a variety of experiences that qualify him for the city manager job.
