Olmos Park EDC members sacked

A contentious, three-hour Olmos Park City Council meeting June 16 culminated in the removal of all Olmos Park Economic Development Corp. (EDC) board members.

Council's 4-1 vote highlights tensions that remain in the community over the EDC's controversial master plan and vision for McCullough Avenue and a survey that showed mixed feelings about a variety of recommended objectives. (read more).

A neighborhood map identifies the various neighborhoods, starting at the top and working clockwise:
Sylvan Hills, Bluebonnet Hills, Montclair, Madeliene Terrace, Cambridge Oval, Patterson Loop, Cottage District, and La Jara.

Alamo Heights Animal Care Services in Need of Fosters and Supplies

kittensIt is kitten season and the Alamo Heights Animal Care Department is in need of foster supplies and foster parents. Some of the immediate needs include 36" wire dog kennels to house foster kittens, Royal Canin brand 1st stage baby cat food (it is sold in a pink 3 oz can), shallow stainless steel food and water bowls, paper towels, dawn dish soap (for bathing kittens), cat beds, cat toys, and small litter boxes.
