TJW and all dog lovers. We will be glad to donate a $500. 00 and the children would like to donate 3 months of their allowance ( warmed my heart). We want to do our part. So when time comes to request or collect the donations please post on this sight or in the City newsletter where to send the donation. Thank you!

JDD says "If you stayed for the budget presention, you recognized that Wesers point is not 'kill the dog park'but rather AH budget is not in balance and he urged that citizens raise the money." AND who does he think raised the 10,000.00, you know the grant money from the Brown foundation. Not to mention the selling ice cream at the Movies in park events. The citizens are already raising money and will continue to do so. There are citizens are committed to raising and ready to write checks if the City will commit or at least back it.! Even the Boy and Girls have committed to help. Plus one young man wants to help to build it as part of his Eagle Scout project. Maybe he should attend the dog park meetings and find out for himself about the dedication and commitment.

JAK you have no idea what a fiasco it was. Didn't stay to the end - too painful.

Will Prassel read everything like he did the last time he proposed the I & R? Afterward he couldn't even tell you what he had just read out loud. He needs cliff notes.

TJW. I didn't say you did. Good for you. My point was there has been no discussion by council in council meeting. There has been no vote so I do not see how some have divined that the dog park is 'toast'.
I doubt the dog park is just for AH folks. It might be intended for them but how do you stop non citizens?

Nobody cares, fellahs. One dog showed up at the July 4th Parade with a Save the Dog Park Banner. No petitions were gathered, no protest pooch parade was organized for Monday. T-O-A-S-T

TJW, I like the rain. I like rational process too. So I will wait for the discussion Aug 9th and the vote before I start reading people's minds.

While I appreciate that some of you are worried about the dog park - how about the parking they are about to dump on W. Fair Oaks? It is only 8-5 on school days. How very generous of them. The police chief didn't contact us about his recommendation. Why don't they get rid of the median on Vanderhoven so the kids can park back there!

JDD come in out of the rain. Just pick up the phone and call a council member and ask them where they stand on the dog park or the next you run into them ask them.

I have not polled the members of CC; how did any of you find out that the dog park won't be created? CC has never discussed it and the vote will not take place tomorrow- only discussion.

This should be interesting. The reason Rotary chose Friday night was so it wouldn't compete with the opening night of Fiesta on Saturday and tick off the Fiesta Commission. At the very least, this should insure that those of us who don't belong to the Cavaliers have a fun, uncrowded event that brings neighbors together. Then we can talk about Prassel and his bias against the Optimists.
