The long-awaited Olmos Park railroad quiet zone is now scheduled for a September implementation after a funds allotment for the project, but opposition to prerequisite roadway improvements from some residents threatens to derail the plans.
City Council on Jan. 21 created a designated fund for the city's financial share of the project under an interlocal agreement with the city of San Antonio. The internal funds transfer of $59,258 from a non-designated city reserve fund brings the project's total to $96,100. (read more).
